Job application training at Süd-Chemie in Moosburg

After only one further year at school many pupils of the 9th class of Moosburg's Kastulus-Realschule will start an apprenticeship. Soon they will have to apply for these jobs.
| |
|
At Süd-Chemie they learned on December 9 2011 what they should include into their application and found out which little and serious mistakes to avoid.
| |
|
Together with Holger Prote and Franziska Hofbauer they also analyzed examples for job interviews to see what really counts in a situation like that.
| |
|
Later on they could prepare for their coming interviews by meeting some Süd-Chemie training supervisors in one-on-one interviews.
| |
|
At the end of this morning the pupils were sure that the hints of the experts will be really helpful for them.

Süd-Chemie successful at Mycotoxin Workshop 2011

Larissa Vanecek, Manager Research & Development for Food and Feed Additives took part at the Mycotoxin Workshop 2011 in the Center of Life and Food Sciences Weihenstephan, Freising, Germany.

|
This workshop & conference is a platform for institutes, universities, regulatory authorities and companies in order to exchange information and experiences on various aspects of mycotoxins.
| |
|
The workshop covered all aspects of mycotoxins and other fungal metabolites, such as chemical structure elucidation, toxicity, occurrence in food and feedstuffs as well as identification and chemotaxonomy of the fungal producers.

|
Süd-Chemie also will be present at Mycotoxin Workshop 2012.

New trends around Mycotoxines
Süd-Chemie together with EVONIK at MycoRed Africa Conference 2011

The MycoRed Africa 2011 Conference took place in Cape Town from 4th to 6th April 2011.This important conference brought together a range of international experts to discuss mycotoxicological issues and mycotoxin reduction measures.

That was the reason why our Süd-Chemie Feed Additives experts Alfred Gerleigner, Moosburg and Daren Wedderburn, South Africa visited together with Stuart Weizmann and Heinrich Ruth, EVONIK this importent industry event.

The three-days programme adressed a wide range of issues concerning mycotoxins, including their production by mycotoxigenic fungi, natural occurrence, their fate during processing from farm to plate, toxicology and regulatory control.

New product protects technical installations:
Clarit® UF for ultrafiltration in the fruit juice industry
With its new product, Clarit® UF Powder, Süd-Chemie will be able in future to meet the requirements of the fruit juice industry even better.
| |
|
Alongside the conventional processes of clarification and protein stabilization, the process known as ultrafiltration is also used in the fruit juice industriy. Here, the juice is clarified mechanically under the action of pressure and temperature and with the use of a beverage additive.
| |
|
With the new product, Clarit® UF, Süd-Chemie has brought onto the market an additive which does not attack the sensitive ceramic membranes, pumps and installation components during ultrafiltration. Süd-Chemie is thereby the first supplier worldwide of abrasion-free, i.e. sand-free beverage additives.

|
A great demand for Clarit® UF is also expected in the foreseeable future in other industries and applications.
