Flexible desulfurization

Nearly all hydrocarbon feedstocks such as LPG and natural gas contain odorant sulfur compounds that would poison fuel cells and therefore must be removed. For this, Süd-Chemie offers advanced new adsorbents that exhibit excellent sulfur pick-up as well as outstanding selectivity.

We can provide special formulations to extract the different odorants used in different regions of the world. Simply tell us the gas composition and and concentrations and we can custom tailor a sorbent for the job.

We can also supply customized combinations of products that are able to capture wide ranges of sulfur and other process-poisoning compounds...

For example, one of our customers expressed the desire to use multiple feedstocks and change them at will. Süd-Chemie's was the only solution with sufficient flexibility to accommodate the range of feed compositions as well as the multiple sulfur compounds. All accomplished using a single product—and ambient temperature processing!

Even the tough jobs

When trying to use liquid hydrocarbons such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, removing the sulfur has always been extremely difficult. But Süd-Chemie is working on it. And already we have developed new materials that show real promise for these difficult fuels.
