It is easy enough to create a catalyst that can produce high activity at the outset. The real test is how long it can maintain that level!

Stability, also referred to as durability or activity maintenance, is an absolutely essential ingredient that we design into every catalyst we develop. It means, if our customer's application requires a lifetime of X years, our catalyst needs to maintain acceptable levels of performance throughout that period.

This is why we devote so much effort to testing, computing and projecting catalyst lifetimes. And it's why we make this such a large factor in new catalyst development. It ensures that our products will give a strong performance from start to finish!
