What are mycotoxins?
Mycotoxins are metabolic products of moulds, which are formed under unsuitable conditions. Mycotoxins rank amongst natural feed contaminants and are poisonous for agricultural livestock, even at very low concentrations. An examination at a laboratory specialised in mycotoxin analyses provides clarification on the contamination of feeds with mycotoxins. A fungus growth in corn does not always mean that mycotoxins are formed!
