What are they?

Aroma-Can® canisters, modeled after Süd-Chemie’s industry-leading desiccant canisters, feature a proprietary technology that incorporates pleasant scents, such as lemon and orange, directly into the canister’s shell. Incorporating a pleasant aroma into nutraceutical packaging or pharmaceutical packaging can increase marketability and usage of products with unpleasant odors.

Why use them?

The demand for "active" packaging, or packaging that interacts with the customer, is growing rapidly. Smell is a very strong sense and can greatly enhance – or detract – from the experience of using a product or the decision to make a repeat purchase.

Because products such as fish oil tablets, herbal supplements and other products often emit odors that are unpleasant or unappealing to end users, the presence of a favorable scent within the product packaging can dramatically increase their attractiveness among consumers. Aroma-Can can also help manufacturers enhance the marketability of odorless products, such as aspirin, allowing them to gain an edge over their competitors.

Available configurations

Scented canisters are currently available in one-gram sizes in both orange and lemon scents, and an endless variety of customizable scents. In addition to scented canisters, a full line of scented packets, bags, tubes and stoppers, and polymer products can be developed on customer demand.
