04/18/2005 - Süd-Chemie to invest in the field of lithium-ion batteries

Interest acquired in Phostech Lithium



Süd-Chemie AG, Munich/Germany, has purchased shares in the Canadian company Phostech Lithium Inc., Montréal/Québec. The investment was made through capital increase as well as share purchase from former shareholders. It was agreed that no details of the purchase price would be disclosed. Phostech Lithium specialises in the development and production of lithium iron phosphate which is used as a cathode material in lithium-ion batteries.
