12/16/2004 - Phostech Lithium and Süd-Chemie announce partnership für lithium-ion-battery materials

Phostech Lithium Inc., Québec/Canada and Süd-Chemie AG, Munich/Germany have signed, with the Société générale de financement du Québec, Québec/Canada collaboration, a Memorandum of Agreement to detail a share investment of Süd-Chemie into Phostech Lithium in order to support the development and the commercialization of electrode materials for lithium ion batteries especially Lithium Iron Phosphate. Phostech Lithium is planning investments of CAN$ 10 million over the next years.

Phostech Lithium is a Canadian company developing and optimizing Phosphate-based cathodes with an actual focus on the fabrication process for LiFePO4, Lithiated Iron Phosphate, a new state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly cathode material for second generation Lithium-Ion batteries.
