11/19/2004 - License Agreement with Kyowa, Japan

On November 18, 2004, a license agreement has been concluded between Kyowa Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (Japan), and Süd-Chemie AG (Germany). As from this date, Kyowa has granted Süd-Chemie the non-exclusive rights for part of their patent claiming a specific hydrotalcite-like compound under the international patent application number of PCT/JP 98/02990. From January 2006 and onwards the rest of the patent claims will be incorporated into this agreement. This agreement is in force in all countries, where this patent has been or will be granted. Under this license agreement Süd-Chemie may manufacture, use and sell the licensed products, provided these shall be marked with the appropriate patent number as a reference of this license.

Kyowa Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., is an independent manufacturer and supplier of specialty magnesium and aluminum chemicals, mainly for pharmaceutical and plastics applications.

Süd-Chemie is an independent group in the field of specialty chemistry.
