Running at the lowest commercial operating temperatures, the PRO*RCO catalyst is the best option available for maximizing operating cost savings in your application.

Running catalytically at 700° F – 850° F (370° C – 450° C), significant advantages over thermal oxidation can be realized. The natural gas savings can approach 50% and the electricity needed to run your oxidizer can be lowered by up to 35% due to the lowered pressure drop versus running thermally at 1400° F – 1600° F (760° C – 870° C).

Together these savings enable typical payback time of 1 year. With catalyst life expectancy greater than five years, a decision to use PRO*RCO catalyst can improve the profitability of your plant for years to come.

With PRO*RCO catalyst, several emission improvements can be realized in addition to eliminating the target VOCs.

Thermal NOX, a problem with most RTOs is reduced to near zero, and carbon monoxide typically is measured below 1 ppm. By using less natural gas, a plant will lower its overall greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by reducing the total CO2 formed during combustion. With less CO2, your company is actively participating towards the worldwide efforts to minimize Global Warming. In some instances, the cost of catalyst can be offset via trading or selling of emission credits.
