Processing with Acids results in a combination of a layer-silicate with SiO2. The characteristics of this adsorbent are surface areas > 300 m2/g, pore volume > 0.4 ml/g, high adsorptivity and catalytic properties. Most important applications are special Carbonless Paper- and Inkjet-coatings.
