To remain competitive in the face of a world economic crisis, Tonwerke Moosburg, Sirius-Werke AG and Tonsil-Werke GmbH amalgamated to form Vereinigte Bleicherde Fabriken AG (United Bleaching-Earth Factories), known as VBF. VBF´s central administration moved into offices at Lenbachplatz 6, which today still house Süd-Chemie AG headquarters.
